I have recently attended an appointment with Mr Zaf Naqui at the BMI Alexandra hospital, Cheadle. I found the hospital to be very easy to navigate from parking my car to finding my way to the out-patients department. Everybody was very helpful and friendly which made the experience very calming and pleasant. Mr Naqui was extremely professional with a very friendly approach which made me feel immediately at ease. He is very thorough and explained things very clearly which inspires confidence. I required an MRI scan to positively confirm his diagnosis and to determine my continued treatment. My scan appointment was made immediately and the ladies at the MRI centre were absolutely wonderful. Mr Naqui's diagnosis was confirmed with the MRI results. He has advised treatment from a hand therapist in the physiotherapy department. My first appointment is this week and I am sure that the therapist will be as professional and thorough as Mr Naqui.

I was seen by Mr Naqui regarding severe arthritis pain in my left hand thumb earlier this year. Mr Naqui discussed the various options with regard to treating the problem and was able to advise on a website that I could read. It was decided that I would have an x-ray guided steroid injection procedure. This was performed in April 2018. Obviously I was a little anxious but the procedure was quick and only slightly uncomfortable whilst the needle was inserted. The whole experience was made so much easier by the relaxed and friendly consultant and his support team. Follow up appointment in three months and I was able to report that I was pain free. Thank you Mr Naqui

Mr Naqui greets you with a big smile which instantly makes you feel at your ease. He has been very approachable from start to finish, explains on your level( which is rare in my experience over the years!) and listens to you which is very important. He will advise you of the best course of action for your individual needs. His hand therapist Sarah has also been great, both very professional in their approach. I would have no problem in contacting them in the future should the need arise. The only criticism is of the hospital staff could have been a little more helpful in assisting me with my mobility issues, but that does not reflect away from the excellent care which Mr Naqui and his team provided for me.
